GOOD THINGS (MY WISH FOR YOU)

long lazy morning, 

the first sip of coffee outside when the riding sun is still caught in the dew,

forest path speckled with sunlight,

finding a single white feather and knowing it's a gift,

yawns that end in a smile,

pups with crooked ears and big brown eyes,

belly laughs,

falling asleep in the glow of a bonfire under a wool blanket,

being surprised by the sweetness of a berry,

seeing a familiar bird visit your windowsill

walking though a vegetable field and collecting a little salad in your hands,

cooking with rosemary and thyme and lemon and garlic,

being able to pamper your mother just the way she deserves 

hearing a song and realizing it will be your new favourite,

watching someone unwrap the gift you gave them and seeing their eyes light up,

embracing the messiness of eating a mango

welcoming the breeze into your freshly cleaned house.

lighting a candle,

the way the air smells right before a summer rain,

waking up without any aches,

forhead kisses,

the smell of your lover's scalp, 

their thumb stroking yours when you hold hands,

feeling like everything's going to be ok and believing it with all your heart.
